DESCRIPTION:Exploring new and old peripheries in Europe \n\n\n\nWe invite you for a discussion around co-edited open access book on Reconfiguring EUPeripheries. \n\n\n\nThe volume explores the diverse nature of the European Union’s interactions with itsperipheries. Focusing on a period of rising regional tensions marked most recently by thewar in Ukraine\, the volume casts new empirical and conceptual light on the diversemotivations that underpin the political elites’ attitudes towards the EU in Bosnia andHerzegovina\, Georgia\, Hungary\, Kosovo\, Moldova\, Romania\, Türkiye and Ukraine.The event’s two guest speakers explore and discuss the shifting nature of EU peripheriesand the impact of recent crises and conflicts that made some countries express the needfor ‘more EU’.
